CAROL LYNN PEARSON has been a professional writer, speaker and performer for many years. Her autobiography, Goodbye, I Love You, tells the story of her marriage to a homosexual man, their divorce, ongoing friendship, and her caring for him as he died of AIDS. For many years she has tirelessly worked to end the collision between religion and homosexuality. Among her many contributions are a stage play, “Facing East,” the story of a Mormon couple dealing with the suicide of their gay son, and No More Goodbyes: Circling the Wagons around Our Gay Loved Ones, which examines the tragic and unnecessary goodbyes we continue to say around the issue of homosexuality, and also presents many inspiring stories of families finding new and positive ways to relate to their gay children. Her most recent contribution is The Hero’s Journey of the Gay and Lesbian Mormon, a small pocketbook she hopes will be an encouraging traveling companion for our LGBT brothers and sisters. Carol Lynn is also an activist for women’s issues, dedicated to transforming patriarchy into partnership. She has an M.A. in theater, is the mother of four grown children, and lives in Walnut Creek, California. Learn more about her at www.clpearson.com.
